In the fall of 1988, during our second year, a classmate and I created the View from the Skydeck cartoon which appeared on a semi-regular basis in the weekly campus newspaper, The Harbus. The "skydeck" refers to the last, uppermost ring of seats in each classroom of some 90 students. To my pleasant surprise, I found out last year, that others have been keeping up the tradition, also on a semi-regular basis.
